Kinder in und an einem Bus im Libanon
As an international humedica family, as a friendly team, we pursue our vision, mission and values in our projects for the benefit of people in need.

Our vision

Because every person is valuable in God's eyes, we help people in acute need around the world. We are committed to a life in dignity and with confidence.

Our mission

Fast and sustainable help is possible where skills, talents and a large international network work together. By serving people, we work together to change living conditions and give them new prospects.

Our mission statement

We are an international community of full-time employees, volunteers and donors who use their resources, skills and gifts to help people in need as a result of disasters or structural poverty.

We see ourselves as a mediator between those affected and people and institutions willing to help by drawing attention to specific emergencies, mobilizing resources and providing effective and efficient aid.

Our values

We see ourselves as a work that trusts in God's guidance, believing in his kind care. We want to align our institutional actions and behavior with this positive relationship with God. We follow these fundamental values in our work on behalf of people in need:

It is important to us that, as a Christian organization, we offer both Christians and non-Christians a platform to help people.
Out of love for our fellow human beings near and far, we are committed to giving our best.
We pay attention to authenticity, both in relation to our actions and in the context of our (internal and external) communication as a valuable asset.
Volunteering is a core value of our work.
We see courage and spontaneity to help quickly as an indispensable value.
We want to take appropriate account of the basic needs of people in need while still keeping an eye on the specific situation of the individual.
The "Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and Non-Governmental Organizations in Disaster Response" forms the normative basis of our humanitarian action.
