With decades of experience, strong partners and a central relief supplies warehouse, we ensure that aid reaches disaster or crisis areas in an efficient and targeted manner.

Why relief supplies are necessary

Urgent help when disaster strikes

In disaster situations, the need for medical aid, food, hygiene products and emergency shelters is enormous. humedica ensures that these relief supplies reach the people affected quickly and in a coordinated manner - be it after an earthquake or storm, during a flood or in the event of displacement. Thanks to our prepared stocks and experienced logistics teams, we can get vital aid on its way in the shortest possible time.

Long-term aid to alleviate poverty

In many regions of operation, people live in permanent structural poverty: health care is inadequate, social facilities are chronically undersupplied, and there is a lack of everyday necessities such as hygiene articles, school supplies or clothing. humedica supports these regions with targeted relief supplies - to close gaps in supply, facilitate work on the ground and improve people's quality of life in the long term.

The impact of relief supplies

They provide medical care

Whether in dispensaries for the poor, health stations or after disasters - in many places there is a lack of basic medical equipment.

What we need for this:

  • Consumables (bandages, cannulas, surgical gloves, incontinence products)
  • Medical technology, care beds, examination equipment and aids (e.g. walking aids, microscopes, compression stockings, patient couches)
  • Medicines for disaster relief operations and chronically undersupplied regions

They cover basic needs

Relief supplies help people in need to cope with everyday life - in places where the most basic necessities are lacking. In crisis regions and areas affected by poverty, things like food, clean water, clothing and hygiene products are often unavailable or unaffordable.

What we need for this:

  • Durable food (e.g. canned food, rice, baby food)
  • Hygiene products (e.g. soap, toothbrushes, washcloths)
  • Clothing as good as new (e.g. B-goods, remaining stock)

They enable education and support children

Millions of children around the world are growing up in conditions where even the basic things they need to learn are missing: Pencils, exercise books, backpacks. In many regions, family or state resources are not sufficient to provide school supplies. Children in poor neighborhoods, remote regions or refugees are particularly affected.

What we need for this:

  • School materials (exercise books, pads, pens, sports equipment, satchels)
  • Toys (also for our Gift with Heart campaign)
  • Shelf-stable sweets (e.g. seasonal leftovers)

They provide accommodation and reconstruction

After disasters, people often lack the most basic things to keep a roof over their heads. In Eastern Europe and Ukraine, we also help to rebuild damaged homes.

What we need for this:

  • Tarpaulins (tarps), blankets, sleeping bags, sleeping mats
  • Building materials (paint, tools, windows, sanitary equipment)

Donations in kind – how you can help

As private individuals

humedica

Private individuals can particularly support our humanitarian work as part of the Gift with Heart campaign or social projects in Eastern Europe. As our needs change regularly, please contact us before making a donation.

What we currently accept:

  • Children's clothing in good condition (no adult clothing)
  • Toys, only if they are intact and fit into a shoe box (for "gifts with a heart")
  • Clean, undamaged bed linen and blankets

As a company

IDA

Support from companies is indispensable for our global humanitarian work. Donations in kind - such as stock, special items or remaining quantities - are an important addition to our disaster relief and long-term development cooperation.

For example, we collect and distribute

  • Medical and technical equipment
  • Medicines
  • School supplies, clothing and toys
  • Durable food, hygiene articles

Your donations help in:

  • Clinics and health facilities
  • Kindergartens, facilities for people with disabilities and welfare centers in Eastern Europe
  • Disaster areas and regions with chronic undersupply

Arzneimittelspenden von Privatpersonen

PAK Mission Society

Relief supplies at the heart of our work

Every year, humedica sends around 500 tons of relief supplies to its own projects and to partner organizations. These relief supplies effectively complement our medical missions and our long-term project work.
