The situation on site

Yemen - a civil war has been raging here since 2015. Hardly anyone can afford food and the cholera epidemic has cost thousands of local people their lives. A lack of hygiene, too little money to survive, no food - women in rural areas are often hit particularly hard: they and their families are defencelessly exposed to outbreaks of disease and the economic decline of the state. In most cases, they have no means of earning a living and do not know how they can help themselves and their families.
