The war in Ukraine is destroying the lives of thousands of people - houses are being bombed, entire regions devastated. People lose their loved ones and are often left destitute. Simple everyday situations become major challenges: This includes going to the doctor or getting medication. In many places, hospitals have been destroyed and doctors' surgeries have been abandoned. There is a lack of vital treatment. humedica helps with mobile health workers in crisis regions.

The situation on site

Since the beginning of the war in February 2022, many people in Ukraine have lacked medical care. Hospitals have been bombed and many doctors have fled to less destroyed areas. The situation in the formerly occupied territories is particularly difficult: people have lost their loved ones, their homes have been destroyed and yet this place is still their home. All infrastructure, such as health stations, has been razed to the ground. Anyone suffering from a chronic illness, needing an examination or treatment or wanting to talk about their traumatic experiences is on their own.

humedica is on the ground with mobile medical teams in eastern and southern Ukraine, bringing help where no one else can go.
