Current situation in Ukraine
People from the east of the country in particular are fleeing to areas where the security situation is fairly stable or abroad. So far, 3.6 million Ukrainians have found a place within the country where they can continue their lives for the time being. What they experienced before or during their flight will stay with them forever: the loss of loved ones, the fear of being hit by rockets, violent encounters, the sound of a sudden bombardment. Psychological help is needed to process experiences like these and actively shape their lives under adverse circumstances. According to official estimates, around thirty percent of Ukrainians suffer from psychological problems.
