The Campo do Coelho district in Nova Friburgo is home to particularly socially disadvantaged families. The playful name of the district - which translates as rabbit meadow - is anything but a playground for children. While their parents work, the children are on their own for most of the day. They have no one to help them with their homework or prepare a hot meal. There is also a high risk that they will go off the rails without an education. humedica has been helping children between the ages of 4 and 16 who regularly attend school with a day care center since 2005.
humedica runs a daycare center where children and young people are looked after during the day.
