The war in Ukraine is destroying the lives of thousands of people—homes are being bombed, and entire neighborhoods are being devastated. People are losing their loved ones and are often left destitute. Simple everyday situations become major challenges, such as visiting a doctor or obtaining medication. In many places, hospitals have been destroyed and doctors’ offices abandoned. Essential treatments are in short supply. humedica provides assistance with mobile health workers in crisis regions.

The situation on the ground

Since the war began in February 2022, many people in Ukraine have lacked access to medical care. Hospitals have been bombed, and many doctors have fled to less-damaged areas. The situation in the formerly occupied territories is particularly dire: People have lost loved ones, their homes have been destroyed, and yet this place is still their home. All infrastructure, including medical facilities, has been razed to the ground. Anyone suffering from a chronic illness, in need of an examination or treatment, or wanting to talk about their traumatic experiences is left to fend for themselves.

For 9 euros, a person can be transported to receive specialized medical services.
With 11 euros, you can help one person receive legal advice from a lawyer.
With 30 euros, a patient can be supplied with medication for one month.
With 98 €, four people can receive medical advice and treatment.
750 euros will fund a month's worth of laboratory tests for a mobile medical team, enabling them to reliably diagnose and treat illnesses.
With 2,000 euros, a piece of laboratory equipment can be purchased.
With 3,700 euros, a doctor can purchase the basic equipment needed for mobile practice.
