Current situation in Myanmar

According to the latest reports, the death toll rose to over 3,300 people, more than 4,800 are injured and over 200 are missing (as of 05.04.2025) after the severe earthquakes on the last weekend in March. The most severe quake reached a magnitude of 7.7 in the epicenter near the second largest city of Mandalay. The tremors were felt as far away as neighbouring countries - in Bangkok, over 1,000 kilometers away, a building shell collapsed.

Myanmar itself is a country that is difficult to access and is plagued by civil war. This makes humanitarian aid even more difficult. Due to the limited medical capacities, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the highest emergency level.

How humedica helps

humedica responded immediately: a team of four experts traveled to the disaster area in Myanmar as quickly as possible - consisting of a coordinator, a doctor, a logistician and a security expert. After the reconnaissance and the handover of the first relief supplies, a medical team followed, which was in action for two weeks:

the medical team carried out urgently needed treatments
Injured persons treated
Distributed medication
provided clean drinking water

How you can help

We rely on your support to make this life-saving aid possible. With your donation, we can provide injured people with medical care, distribute food and clean drinking water and provide resources for temporary shelter.

With 30 euros you can finance a first aid kit or an emergency aid kit with hygiene articles such as soap, toothbrushes and washcloths.
With 100 euros, a family receives a tarp (tarpaulin) and four sleeping bags for a temporary shelter.
For 1,500 euros, 400 people are supplied with clean drinking water.
7,000 euros is the cost of a medical kit that can provide 3,000 people in an acute emergency with basic medical supplies such as bandages and medicines.
