The situation on site

With hardly any rain for five years and a huge increase in population due to refugees from Somalia, people in southern Ethiopia have been struggling with food shortages for months. Many families no longer know how to feed themselves and their children. More and more people are suffering from malnutrition - a situation that is particularly dangerous for the youngest children, as well as pregnant and breastfeeding women. The refugees and the inhabitants of the region are equally affected by the drought.
